Alisa Picerno, mba
Alisa Picerno is President of Alliances By Alisa, LLC. Prior to establishing her own successful media relations firm, Alisa served in the busy communications department of Qualidigm, where she was in charge of securing major media publicity for all of the company’s health care platforms and events. Prior to that, she was Director of Marketing for MassMutual Financial Group and Director of Public Relations for several field agencies affiliated with both MassMutual Financial Group and New England Financial.
Throughout her career, Alisa has lent her tenacious team spirit to numerous financial service corporations, independent public relations agencies, the Connecticut State Capital, and was a broadcast reporter for several radio stations across the state.
Born and bred in Connecticut, Alisa is passionate about giving back to the community. Whether spearheading a charity fundraiser or pitching in as a volunteer, she has proactively participated in events sponsored by the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, American Red Cross, Connecticut Humane Society and St. Gabriel’s Church Parish. She is also an active member and former Vice President for the Business Network International (BNI) West Hartford Chapter.
Alisa is a former Vice President for Business Network International (BNI), is a current member of the MetroHartford Alliance, and is serving a three-year term on the Board of Directors for the Simsbury Chamber of Commerce.
She is a magna cum laude graduate of Boston College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and has earned her MBA from Southern Connecticut State University.
Alisa relies on daily vigorous workouts and constant caffeine drips to keep up with the exciting pace of her busy firm!

Kathy Callahan
POSITION: Public Relations Manager
Kathy Callahan is a Public Relations Manager with Alliances by Alisa Media Relations. In her role since 2007, she supports all aspects of the busy media relations firm. She uses her creative talents to craft compelling press releases that showcase each client’s unique story, skills and services. She interacts with the media to secure and coordinate client interviews. She draws upon her decades of advertising sales, marketing, event planning and public relations experience.
Prior to joining Alliances by Alisa Media Relations, she was at the Hartford Courant for 13 years in various roles in the Marketing, Finance, Retail and Classified Advertising departments. Her latest position was as the Marketing Event Manager in charge of coordinating the newspaper’s presence at high profile events such as the GHO and managing sponsored events such as the Career Fair and Unique Lives speaker series at the Bushnell. Early in her career, she worked as an Advertising Sales Representative.
Kathy finds that her creativity for developing compelling client campaigns is often sparked on the sea in her kayak!
Kipling Gottshall
POSITION: Public Relations Specialist
Kipling Gottshall brings more than a decade of PR and communications experience to her role as a Public Relations Specialist with Alliances by Alisa Media Relations. Her enthusiasm to share her client’s unique stories has helped her cultivate meaningful and trusted relationships with print, broadcast and online media contacts. In her previous positions at public relations and advertising agencies in New York City, she represented national and local high-profile clients in the consumer, entertainment and publishing industries including Swarovski Crystal, Universal Studios and Volvo.
Kipling is most proud of the three years she spent working in the non-profit arena as the Program Director for The Miracle League of CT. She oversaw the organization’s recreational and educational programming, which included forging partnerships with the Connecticut Science Center, The Bushnell, Playhouse on Park and the Mandell Jewish Community Center.
Kipling also has the valuable perspective of a retail business owner as the founder of Better Giving by Kipling, a successful gift and home décor boutique she operated for several years in Avon, CT.
When Kipling isn’t busy cooking up ideas for her clients, she enjoys creating culinary treats for friends and family gatherings.
Yinka Oni-Orisan
POSITION: Social Media Strategist
Yinka Oni-Orisan is a Social Media Strategist with Alliances by Alisa Media Relations and applies her years of social media consulting, digital marketing, content creation and influencer management experience to develops paid and non-paid social media and content strategies, helping to grow a client’s business. In her role, she supports the public relations team by amplifying press releases, client media coverage and events utilizing social media outlets.
Prior to joining Alliances by Alisa Media Relations, Oni-Orisan was a full time influencer and digital marketing consultant, managing social media marketing campaigns with fortune 500 companies and clients across the globe.
Oni-Orisan is a graduate of Howard University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a minor in Marketing.

Matt Sottile
POSITION: Public Relations Specialist
Matthew Sottile is a Public Relations Specialist at Alliances By Alisa Media Relations where he is in charge of creating media lists, writing media documents, securing broadcast and print interviews and accompanying clients to various media opportunities.
He is simultaneously pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications at Boston College, along with minors in Film Studies and Marketing in the Carroll School of Management. After graduating from Northwest Catholic High School in 2016, Matt has been actively involved with the athletics and marketing department at Boston College.
A diehard sports fan, Matt hopes to blend his people skills, love for sports and stage presence into a career in sports broadcasting. This past year, he served on the executive board as a sophomore for WZBC Sports Radio, where he broadcasted football, basketball, hockey, and baseball games for the school, in addition to serving as the on-ice Emcee for Men’s Hockey, captivating and entertaining the crowd all season long. Matt’s stellar sports coverage has included the 2018 NCAA Men’s Basketball East Regional Final at TD Garden, a job shadow program at ESPN, the 2018 Beanpot Tournament, the 2018 ALS Awareness Game at Fenway Park, the 2018 Dell Technologies Championship in Norton, MA, and a trip to the University of North Carolina to report regular-season basketball.
Matt is also a proud member of BC’s Asinine Sketch and Improv Comedy and hopes to add more credentials to his collection in the near future.
Matt has found that the golf course always produces a hole-in-one result for both personal and professional growth!
